Why is Miu Miu so hot right now?
On the occasion of the Seventy-Seventh edition of the Festival de Cannes, on May 21, 2024, at the beach club Plage L’Ecrin, Miu Miu hosted a new edition of the Miu Miu Summer Club with actress and model Cara Delevingne. This event was previously held last year on the beaches of Malibu, California. On the same day as the world premiere of *Parthenope* – directed by Paolo Sorrentino – international guests attended the event, including Heloise Agostinelli, Dara Allen, Melissa Aouragh, Thylane Blondeau, Clara Cornet, Sebastian Croft, Rebecca Dayan, Laure De Clermont, Cara Delevingne, Pauline Ducruet, Isabelle Fuhrman, Peggy Gou, Lucy Hale, Nicky Hilton, Ella Hunt, Alex Kessler, Aja Naomi King, Brigitte Lacombe, Marian Lacombe, Little Simz, Lena Mahfouf, Olympia of Greece, Emili Sindlev, Lina Soualem, Malgorzata Szumowska, Patricia Zhou, Maxim Magnus, and Tish Weinstock. The day concluded with a sunset cocktail by the sea, enlivened by a live performance by Cosha and DJ sets by RedKoffee – a Paris-based poet and curator – and O’Flynn, a DJ and producer from London. Hidden in the bay and located on the Pointe Croisette at Port Canto with a private dock, the location was completely customized by Miu Miu, and various entertainment activities were organized, such as bat and ball, a team sport played with a bat, ball, and glove (of the wicket keeper – the receiver) played between two teams of eleven players each; Petanque, a sporting specialty born in Provence; and Backgammon or Royal Table: a two-player game of ancient origin, dating back around 5000 years.
