Visionary Jonathan Anderson breaks the mold formulating a narration where provocation, sensuality and movement are central protagonists. Inspired by Renaissance painter Pontormo, he explores the notions of drape, sculpture and color through twist and turns. The body morphs. It gets altered and distorted: metallic plates, resin bust, denim as new sculpting material. Enveloping volumes are juxtaposed to essential silhouettes. Accessories give of all the incredible power of everyday life as common objects such as bar soap, a candle, an egg, a nail varnish, a rose flower are turned into shoe heels becoming the new fashion fetish. Jw Anderson experiences the absolute beauty of free creation and defines new contemporary archetypes.
