THE ISLAND OF ESCAPISM

Vibrant colours and a fascination for an hedonistic vision inspire the new LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza collection that transports us to the Balearic island.

Fun, parties, community and naïve lightheartedness are the themes behind Jonathan Anderson’s sensual and casual collection.
The garments are colourful and filled with a carefree attitude: dresses and tops shine because of the sparkle of sequins and skin is revealed through short hems, lacing and slits. Prints are gritty: surf graphics by “LeRoy Grannis”, cactus motifs and fun geometries enliven the looks.
Casual shirts made from silk, a handcrafted fabric made in Japan, crochet garments and garish overdying on faded denim enhance the collection.

Everything is created to be linear and easy to wear.

The harmonious touch of white is contrasted with the explosion of sparkle and bright notes of orange, pink, red and green that colour the clothes.
All the pieces are designed to be interchangeable between men and women, thus breaking all gender rules and opening the door to individual freedom.
As with the clothes, the accessories convey the same vibe of playfulness and lightheartedness in bright colours.
The sequin theme is repeated on the wedge mules, which best express the idea of sparkle and celebration. The brand’s iconic bags, Puzzle, Hammock, Amazona and Goya, are combined with ombré colours reminiscent of psychedelic Ibiza sunsets.

Another important part of the collection is denim, the fabric in which the flamenco clutch is made, but the two big stars of Paula’s Ibiza accessories are woven straw and raffia, also dyed in muted colours along with playful geometries.
Adding a further touch of playfulness are small leather goods with fun inlaid cocktail motifs, sunglasses, hats, pendants and jewellery.
The collection also includes the fresh fragrance LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic, eau de toilette suitable for both men and women.

The LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza campaign was shot by Grey Sorrenti and documents an ode to spontaneity and a celebration of light-heartedness, portraying youth ready to embrace the moment and to enter a world where anything is possible and everything is constantly changing.
