Gucci Après-Ski explores both an elegant and sporty aesthetic presented through a selection of garments inspired by skiwear. The classic elements that characterize the winter season on the ski slopes are reinterpreted in a contemporary view and mixed with the brand’s key elements. Matching outfits embellished with the GG monogram are paired with modern versions of iconic bags, including Gucci Horsebit 1955, Gucci Diana and GG Marmont made from houndstooth knit and trimmed in wool. The collaboration with Adidas, which began last February during Milan Fashion Week, continued, previewing garments and accessories that will be part of the next drop, including padded bomber jackets and ankle boots with notched soles. The collection highlights the House’s vision of a travel conception with a series of rigid aluminium trolleys created in collaboration with Italian luxury luggage manufacturer Fpm Milano. The collection is narrated through the lens of Mark Peckmezian and a video by Akinola Davies Jr., producing a retro-flavoured campaign depicting a group of friends on holiday in a mountain chalet. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, and through the film the viewer seems to enter the narrative, living the same emotions as the characters. The protagonists are down jackets with monogram and optical, 80s inspired, patterns, pastel knitted cardigan with maxi logos, ski masks from the Gucci eyewear and hiking and snow boots. Gucci Après-Ski collection makes people daydream preparing for the winter season under the snow with elegance and unmistakable character.
