Celine released the new video for Homme Spring Summer 2022. For this latest collection, the Creative Director Heidi Slimane stays loyal to the 70’s rock punk style’s references presenting as usual effortless chic looks.
And this time decides to show his vision on a motorbike’s lead in the middle of the island of south of France in the Archipel des Embiez, not far from his home in Saint Tropez. Slimane’s intention consists of to express an evident reference to the rebellious motorbike rider’s attitude which currently reflects the mood that is valued by the brand.
Celine continues to dictate the rules on how kids from new generations should dress in order to be cool. And you don’t need to be loud to be relevant, but you cannot be relevant if you try too hard.
The key for the success is layering different items made by different materials. Outfits are made mostly by tailored and leather jackets paired with oversize hoodies, combined with bermuda and many chokers, hoodies and rings.
Models are wearing at least three or four different materials with the same look, from tulle to leather, from silk to wool, that create modern and inspected contrasts. Items are also embellished with paillettes, prints (created by emerging designers) and studs.
