A year after the inauguration of the first Louis Vuitton store on the eastern coast of Sicily, in the pearl of the Ionian Sea, Louis Vuitton returns to Taormina to announce the opening of Le Bar Louis Vuitton, a terrace over the Mediterranean and the ultimate expression of the Louis Vuitton lifestyle. Following the broader project of the Maison’s summer resorts worldwide, which includes pop-ups, culinary experiences, and beach takeovers, Louis Vuitton’s first Sky Bar is adorned with shades of blue and warm whites, inspired by the colors of the Mediterranean.
The terrace on the top floor of the historic building, which also houses the Louis Vuitton store, boasts a dedicated entrance where the codes of the Maison blend with the typical aesthetics of Sicily. Guests are greeted by a wallpaper of real shells serving as a backdrop to the Anemona table from the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades Collection, designed by Atelier Biagetti in blue leather, inspired by the waves of the sea. Wooden and rope seating surrounds the tables made of blue glass enamelled lava stone, paying homage to the sea of the Taormina coast, creating a seamless transition between the arranged spaces and the surrounding landscape. The bar features straw and metal lamps, typical local plants, and furnishings from Object Nomades, characterizing Le Bar as an elegant and sophisticated oasis capable of transporting visitors into the Louis Vuitton world for a relaxing break amidst the colors and scents of the Italian summer. Finally, the tables are adorned with a unique new touch: the new Art de la Table tableware service in blue and beige Limoges porcelain, accompanied by Twist glasses in Murano glass, hand-blown in the Venetian atelier of Simone Cenedese. The Collection’s motifs highlight the graphic design of the blue Monogram flowers with subtle watercolor effects on a white base. Visiting the Taormina store, from the ground floor to the first floor, customers can discover all the métiers within a bright and intimate space. The bamboo furnishings, a seasonal novelty created specifically for the spaces, and the design objects present blend perfectly with the details inspired by the local aesthetics, such as the wallpaper and carpets. The shelves made of wood and natural fiber ropes lend lightness to the sophisticated environment, while artworks animate the spaces with unique representations of the territory.
The store also offers the perfect setting for the new LV By The Pool Collection, which ranges from clothing to bags, footwear, accessories, home furnishings, and much more. In shades of orange that evoke the summer color palette, the Monogram is reinvented as a mosaic decorative motif, both as a watercolor effect and as a graphic element. Wooden and rope seating surrounds the tables made of blue glass enamelled lava stone, paying homage to the sea of the Taormina coast.
