CONTINUUM

The perfect imperfection. The studied effortlessness. The Gucci Fall/Winter 2025 co-ed collection unveils the distinctive features of the Maison and enhances its personality.

Continuum is a Latin noun used in Italian in its masculine form. It represents the connection to something, the relentless flow of certain elements from past to present, from before to after. The common thread running through the entire collection embraces craftsmanship, style, and an entire cultural heritage. The Maison has a century-long history, represented by different figures revolving around the entire process of designing and creating a fashion show. Gucci’s style has always stood out for its originality and uniqueness, characterised by a distinctive spirit—constantly adapting first, then evolving. The co-ed collection for the upcoming Fall/Winter season is a true journey through time, diving into the Maison’s historical archives while keeping an eye on the future. The elements presented are deeply rooted in the present moment, in the contemporary, in the modern, blending history, codes, and convictions with fresh, innovative trends. Recognisability allows for an immediate recall of elements that have shaped and narrated the brand’s history for decades. Italian style is like this—carefully curated yet imperfect, meticulously crafted yet effortlessly spontaneous. It represents not only an aesthetic but also a true way of living. Gucci was born with an inherently cinematic character, made up of stylised and sumptuous objects that seamlessly transition between the women’s and men’s wardrobes, details that enhance personalities and adapt uniquely to those who wear them. Fashion storytelling, history, tradition, aesthetics, and attitude come together in an imperfect yet perfect harmony.

Men and women merge in colours, fabrics, lines, and volumes. The synergy between the two expressions becomes unique and harmonious. The feminine defines the masculine, and vice versa. If the man is imbued with rigor, tailoring, essentials, and minimalism, the woman introduces playfulness, pop. Everything is precise and well-defined in the narrative of a collection designed for everyday life, with touches of evening elegance and modern sensuality. Fur pieces evoke the Sixties and Seventies, as do the silhouettes, which trace the lines of various eras while reclaiming the present. The pure aesthetic minimalism of the Nineties is unmistakable, that nostalgic essence to which we long to return. At the same time, the extravagant maximalism of recent years—extra, oversized—makes its appearance. Structure and fluidity intertwine throughout the collection, for both men and women. Crepe shirts flow sinuously, while tailored suits remain strict and formal. The classic nature of fabrics is contrasted with lace and satin, subverting traditional standards. Layers, like colours, are bold, rich, and intense. Shades of green, lilac, purple, and brown emerge. Accessories take center stage alongside the garments. On the 70th anniversary of the Horsebit 1955 bag, the iconic Horsebit motif appears in both mini and maxi versions, blending with jewellery to become a long necklace, resting on chain belts that wrap around the waist. The classic bag is reintroduced in a new, ultra-soft version with an oversized handle, while the Gucci Siena is presented with a precise structure.

The runway is a long, dark green interlocking G—a tribute to the founder, Guccio Gucci. This year, the emblem celebrates its 50th anniversary. Everything is bathed in green, with mirrored ceilings that reflect and expand the perspective of an already airy and welcoming space. The mirrors allow us to look beyond, into a continuum of elements, details, characteristics, and stories. They also reinforce the cinematic quality so deeply ingrained in the brand’s DNA. A live orchestra, conducted by Justin Hurwitz, heightens the emotions of the narrative, accompanying the models on the runway and helping to create the celebratory atmosphere of this unified collection for men and women. With an accelerating rhythm, it leads us toward the next chapter of history that will be written for Gucci.
