Today at the Grand Palais in Paris, Chanel unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection in a dreamlike setting designed by French-Canadian creative director and scenographer Willo Perron. The dramatic installation, beneath the glass roof, played with scale, size, and proportion—and of course, it was wrapped up in a black bow.
The bow, ribbon, pearl, and flower—signature motifs of the Maison—have been reimagined in varying volumes and applied to pieces that incorporate playful perspectives; think mini tweed jackets paired with exaggeratedly long trousers, and oversized poplin shirts that skimmed the ankles. A black tweed jacket, trimmed with braid, transformed into a coat dress with jewel buttons, while a cape ended in jacket cuffs.

To enhance these trompe-l’œil effects, layering plays a key role with three-piece grenadine tweed sets including a micro-jacket, wrap skirt, and flared trousers, plus tunic, trousers, and skirt looks, and lastly, a sleeveless blouson gilet with a long slit skirt topped with a miniskirt. Then, to balance contrasts the collection offers champagne, black, and white tweed suits paired with a capes in illusion tulle.
There are plenty of delicate and oversized detailing too, like ruffles running down trousers, silk that mimics tweed, floating ribbon motifs, and, ideal for winter, there’s a hooded black organza parka adorned with bows along with wool lace trench coats with faux fur, and black sweaters with 3D white petal accents, adding a poetic touch.
Inspired by fairytales and femininity, the Fall/Winter collection blends Chanel’s signature mastery with imagination, while nodding to the House’s infamous, timeless codes.
