Riccardo Tisci dedicated Burberry Spring/Summer 2022 latest collection to his beloved mother, who passed away in August. To loose someone we love makes us experiencing a wide scope of deep emotions and sensations which may see us reconnecting with our most authentic self. This might explain why the Creative Director decided to go back to the animal world and to draw from the way animals convey their emotions through their ears. Shape wise the iconic Burberry trench coat is deconstructed and rebuilt in strong and striking silhouettes that experiment and play with volumes which reveal a kaleidoscope of geometric, abstract and playful prints. Tradition is infused with new vibrant energy. Signature outerwear in classic color palette, gets bold details and proportions. An unstructured approach to British tailoring sees a new sense of fluidity explored though flowing dresses and sleeveless blazers. Oversize proportions are balanced by sensual shapes that gently wrap the body.
